A Note From the Founder

I’m Allison Ricciardi and I’m so excited to be launching Catholic Life Coaches! It’s been on my heart for years and now is the time. As we recover from the weirdest years in history, many are exploring new opportunities and rethinking their lives and their futures. Catholic life coaches are poised to make an enormous impact!

I founded CatholicTherapists.com in 2001 and we’re celebrating more than 20 years as the most trusted resource on the web for finding therapists who are not only professionally competent but also faithful to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.

Unlike therapy that looks back with the goal of healing, coaching helps you to look and move forward. Over the years I’ve seen how the burgeoning field of life coaching can have an equally important impact on people, who are either, not in need of therapy, or who have completed the process and are now looking to move their lives forward, attain new goals and make their mark in the world (or maybe simply in the personal world of their families and local communities).

In nearly any endeavor, like sports, singing, acting or business- partnering with a coach or mentor can make all the difference in the world to success or missing the mark. The same applies in our personal lives, our relationships, and our jobs or businesses. If you’re serious about living your best life and not just settling for mediocrity- coaching is for you!

Just like in the field of therapy and counseling, integrating Catholic faith principles and practices into coaching can really supercharge the process and can protect you from New Age influences so common in coaching, that can lead you down dangerous paths where you don’t want to go.

Too many of us live just under the surface of our potential…and yet Jesus told us that He came that we may have life- and have it to the full. That means we’re called to abundance- to maximize our potential by using the gifts that God gave us to not only to make our own lives and families better, but to help build His Kingdom.

Let’s face it, our faith is everything and as Catholics, we are so blessed to have Scripture, clear consistent teachings and moral principles, Sacraments, sacramentals, and ancient prayer traditions like the rosary. But applying all of these well amidst the noise of our culture can be a challenge. That’s why I am so excited about Catholic life coaches. They truly have the secret sauce and know just how to integrate the riches of our faith with cutting-edge coaching principles and techniques.
